Adv. Don Sosunov is an attorney and economist, representing individuals and corporations in complex civil and commercial litigation.

Alongside his independent practice, Adv. Sosunov is a partner of Dr. A. Klagsbald & Co. Law Offices, where he has practiced continuously since 2014.

Over the years, Adv. Sosunov’s clients have included leading corporations and prominent business figures, including Harel Insurance, El Al Israel Airlines, Shapir Group, Shikun & Binui, Mr. Alex Shnaider (owner of the Mishorim Real Estate Group), Ms. Liora Ofer, Mr. Dan Gertler, Mr. Udi Recanati, and Mr. Marius Nacht.

Judicial Office and Bar Association

Since 2023, Adv. Sosunov has also served as a Judge of the Tel Aviv District Disciplinary Court of the Israel Bar Association.

Adv. Sosunov is also active in the Israel Bar Association, including as a plenary member of its Capital Markets, Securities and Business Forum and as a member of its Intellectual Property Committee.

Education and Distinctions

Adv. Sosunov graduated with highest honors from the University of Haifa, where he completed a thesis-based Master of Laws (LL.M.), with his thesis ranked first in his class, as well as an accelerated dual undergraduate degree in Law (LL.B.) and Economics (B.A.), as part of the Israel Defense Forces Academic Reserve (Atuda) Program.

During his academic studies, Adv. Sosunov received numerous awards and distinctions, including a Commendation from the Rector and the Dean of Graduate Studies, Dean’s Honors, and the Dean’s Outstanding Student Award, named in honor of former Supreme Court Justice Prof. Yitzhak Zamir.

Adv. Sosunov also studied abroad at the Institute of Law and Economics at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and participated in a specialized program in Switzerland for doctoral candidates and faculty members established by the Swiss National Bank.

Earlier Experience

In 2013-2014, Adv. Sosunov served as a law clerk to Justice Noam Sohlberg of the Supreme Court of Israel. During the same period, he also served as an assistant to the Director of the Legislation and Regulation Department of the Israel Securities Authority.

Before commencing his legal practice, Adv. Sosunov served for almost five years as an officer in the Office of the Financial Advisor to the IDF Chief of Staff / Budget Department of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and holds the rank of Captain in the reserves. During his military service, he received Certificates of Appreciation from the IDF Intelligence Directorate and the Israeli Navy, as well as a Letter of Appreciation from the Head of the Atidim Program.

Academic Teaching

Alongside his professional career, Adv. Sosunov has held teaching positions at several academic institutions. Between 2008 and 2015, he served, at various times, as a Teaching Fellow at the Faculty of Law, University of Haifa, Reichman University (formerly the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya) and the Carmel Academic Center.

Adv. Sosunov has authored many dozens of professional publications on corporate law and securities regulation, as well as other areas of law, in legal journals and the financial press. His publications have been cited by Israeli courts, including the Supreme Court of Israel, and in academic literature.
